Jan Rybář is a graduate of Jan Neruda Grammar School in Prague in field piano and a graduate of MA and PhD programme in composition at Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Between 2002 and 2013, he was a member of composers‘ group „Konvergence“. He performed tens of premieres of Czech and foreign composers’ pieces. Since 2013, he has been cooperating with Bubureza, with which he is prolific both as a composer and choirmaster. He has been developing his interest in vocal music and creating pieces such as Jazykolamy, Bubureza, Nosferatu- Eine Sinfonie des Grauens for women’s choir and chamber ensemble composed for the Austrian silent film, Christmas piece Já jsem přišel k vám and Agnus Dei in memoriam Pavel Jurkovič for women’s choir and Orff instruments.
